Job description :
An elevator technician (also called elevator fitter) in Israel installs, maintains, and repairs lifts, escalators, and related systems. The role is technical, safety-critical, and regulated under local labor and safety authorities.
Responsibilities :
- Installation of elevators and escalators
- Assemble and install lift systems in residential buildings, offices, and commercial complexes according to engineering plans.
- Maintenance and servicing
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to keep systems running safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting and repairs
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, or control system faults and fix breakdowns quickly.
- Modernization work
- Upgrade older elevators with new technology (control panels, safety systems, automation).
