Candidates must have knowledge of G-Code and M-Code, including job/part setup, tool offsets, and machine home or referencing. Experience in CNC and CAM programming is required. Understanding of CNC & VMC operating modes such as Auto, Jog, and MDI is essential. Candidates should be familiar with measuring instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Dial Gauges, along with concepts of quality, production, 5S, Kaizen, and PPE. Knowledge of CNC & VMC operator panels, chattering issues, and machining operations such as boring, drilling, turning, and milling is required. Understanding spindle, coolant, and dry-run M-codes, rapid traverse G-codes, and full forms and working principles of CNC and VMC machines is necessary. Candidates’ knowledge of G-codes and M-codes should be assessed before shortlisting, along with questions on Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or Haas controllers.
